A normal Thursday for me is like this,
Get up, brush teeth, take meds, eat a bite, get dressed, go to work, get groceries, head home, make dinner, talk over the day with Hubby, watch a bit of TV, get ready for bed, take meds, go to sleep.
THIS is today:
Get up
Brush teeth
Take meds
Get crock pot ready with dinner for my Hubby because I will not be home at dinner time.
Eat a bite
Get dressed
Go to work...........work is c r a z y....VBS week is always nuts!
Leave for Chicago
Pick up a few things for the addition
Sigh a few times at the fun I am having but always in my mind is ALL that has to be done at home.
Eat dinner
Head home
Clean up the house a bit
Get ready for bed
Take meds
SLEEP
And start all over again tomorrow.
Are your days so full that you find yourself coming and going, breathing hard and sometimes not catching your breath at all???????????
Yes, that is me at the moment.
This too shall pass.
Soon? Probably not. But I intend to have joy in it all. Pure Joy!

We Interrupt This Blog
I am interrupting the posts of the past week -
for a small bit of creativity!
I love to make fun "flag" swags to decorate for parties that I have.
They are inexpensive, pretty, and add joy to the celebration!
I made this swag for hmmmm, Mother's day?? I think.
I have not taken it down because I like it so much!
When I walk thru my house of chaos it makes me smile!
This was an easy project, consisting of a clearance package of small square fun print paper pieces, scissors and a hole punch!
I cut the flags shapes to the desired size and then cut the "v" in the bottoms of them all.
I did all this while sitting at night watching tv with my hubby.
Hole punching was next, I punched two in the tops of all the flags.
I then put two flags back to back so that if swag is hung where both sides are seen, it is pretty on both of the sides!
Next I strung them (really? yes, really) and hung them on my mirror!
Lovely little project that takes very little time, little efforts and is just stinkin cute!
Ok, there is really no reason for the next two pictures other than I LOVE this print on this particular paper!!
So adorable!
you know, the posts of the fun vacation pictures -
the crazy construction (and destruction) pictures -
for a small bit of creativity!

What I Have Been Up Too.
While the guys have been busy with what is going on outside with the addition, I have been busy on the inside with what needs to be done to make things doable for giving my Mom her bedroom and bathroom access inside our home.
My husband calls me "the beast"!
He is the "total package" so he is not intimidated by my "beastly" abilities in construction!
The worst part about all this......
I have to clean up all that I tear out!!!
Yuck!
And seriously....a guy would have NEVER take the time to stop and get pictures of the demo!!!

How cool am I!!
Ya, cool I am...but cool does not keep me from having to clean this mess up!
Bummer.

Just For Fun
I love "just for fun" photos.
Those that catch a persons real personality.
You know, the ones that probably were not posed for or were gotten while the poser was not expecting it.
Here are a few of my favorites from our trip.
Sooooooooo much fun!

OK, so the above one was definitely a pose, but what a fun way to remember our 2014 trip to the Outer Banks!
The above picture is sooooooooooooo going on my wall in a huge frame!! It is our family to a tee!
Sooooooooo much fun!

My View On A Quiet Saturday Morning
I was quietly sitting in my living room, watching a little food network and I hear a loud noise.
I look up and what to my wandering eyes do I see......
A massive cement truck just inches away from my house!
Yes, this is my life.
And sadly, the truck was filled with only pea gravel! We still do not have a cement floor....next Saturday will be the same view, but with a floor to be finished on the addition.
Life.
Yikes.
Sigh.
And exciting to know that we are blessed to be able to do this for my Mother.
And I will gladly accept the dirt, sweat and tears.

Simple Joys
I love the unexpected.
Shocking, I know.
There was this sweet beach bike parked in the sand, could not pass it up.
Super sized waves....
Our sweet little L's back side....
Our big T at the end of a wave.....
When you look up and see a plethora of fishing poles just waiting for action.
Oh boy....there was never a moment without a photo op.....I just did not always have my camera!

Vacation 2014
Just a few photos from our 35th Anniversary Family Vacation.
Love. Love. Love.
God took this 18 year old girl, who was told by 5 different Doctors that she would never have children, gave me a wonderful husband and expanded our family to this!!!!
Amazing!
And yes, this is my original wedding dress!
Cannot even put into words how blessed I am.
