Ahhhhhhhhhh, Now That's Better!

Finished at last! And working wonderfully on a rainy, cool day.

We have always had this fireplace, it was in need of an update tho....so, with $75 and ALOT of elbow grease, update is done.

And looking pretty, even if I do say so myself, which apparently I did!

A Part Of My Family....

That you have not met. Our adopted daughter (11 years younger than me...yes, that is true) and her husband have 3 children. They live where it is just plain cold, and football is king. Their eldest son T and their second child J are football players on winning teams, and they are both standouts.

I am sharing a picture of T with you, in the midst of a time-out during battle last week. The reason? We are headed up there in a couple of weeks to see the BIG game.....and I pray it will not be snowing!!!

What Do You Have Stored Away????

Well, this past weekend, I actually wrapped some Christmas presents (for this coming Christmas lest you wonder if I am behind!) to store in my basement, away from little eyes that will soon be inhabiting one of our extra bedrooms for a few precious days.

But, it got me to thinking (strange saying...hmmm) what do YOU all have stored away for any special occasion? I have lots of dishes, bowls, glasses, serving ware, silverware and centerpiece items.

I love to set a special table when we have family or company over....I am in love with making people feel special, because they are!!

Here a just a couple of pics I took...sadly (or happily!) there is much more on the shelves that my sweet husband built for me!

Have an amazing Wednesday!!!!!

Favorite Quote Of The Day

Sunday, I made a phone call, to the newest three year old in our family. His precious nic-name is The TermiNATER.
9-11 is his birthday. He turned 3.
As I spoke to him, I asked him, "Nater, are 3 now?"

His response: "Yes I am Nonni, and tomorrow I will be a man!"
Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!!! Good thing it is never tomorrow, we only have today! My little man needs to stay young as long as he can.

Funny How Content One Day Can So Quickly Change....

Today, I am angry. Righteous anger. Anger at sin. Anger at people who hurt children. Anger at people who proclaim to be believers and live like the devil. Anger at what that does to others around them.
What ever happened to loving others, treating them the way we would want to be treated...even if in our eyes they have not earned it? Loving and living like Christ.
The way others are or are not should not be an excuse for bad choices. We are not accountable for others, only ourselves and the choices we make, things we say and how it effects others, and it always will effect others.
God is so very good, He has shown me that He is all I need, all that is necessary for life, no matter how others act or are. And yet I still get angry?? Why?
Because in my humanness, I want life to be perfect here on earth. Every one loving and living like Christ. High fiving each other for a simple victory, cheering each other on. Treating our children like they are the most precious blessing ever given to us.....loving each other. Sigh.
Life is not perfect here. Far from it. Because we are human, because we sin, all of us sin, and we will hurt others, we will say things we regret....BUT, if we love like Christ, those things will be so much further and farther between, that maybe, just maybe, our children will grow in love, and we can change this world into a bit better of a place to be.

Content.

There are lots of things that make me content in my earthly life.

One thing makes me content in my real life - that is my Savior and God, Jesus Christ.

Today, I am showing a few "fun" things that make my earthly flesh feel a bit more content.

1. My Sweet Amazing Husband!

2. My Wonderful Children & In-Law Children and all the blessings that come with!
3. Jobs completed.....home grown, organic produce (grown by myself) safely tucked away for winter use.

4. A freshly cleaned bed! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

5. Football season beginning again! I know, strange for a woman, but I love football.

Have a great and extraordinary Thursday!!!!
