10 Shades Of Green

Green. Shades of Green. You either love green or hate it.

I love certain shades of green. And hate other shades of it. Well, hate is a very strong word and I am not sure I would truly go that far...but I know that I would never paint a wall "Kelly green"......

Ewww, just sayin.

Ok, back to green shades that I love. Or more importantly, that my Mom will love.

She wants the addition painted in a "Cape Cod / English Garden" shade of green.

A few samples of what I see as this type of green.

Disclosure: It must be a pale, light, brighten the room as much as possible kind of green....poor vision on my Mom's part deems this a must!

This chair is just sigh worthy!

My Mom is a crocheter....could not resist this green yarn!

Button, button, who's got the button???

The wall in which the fire place is on appears paler than the  others but it is the sun shining in on it.....this could be a great shade for Mom.

I love the shade of green these bowls are.....lovely!

And of course, my page of green in which my heart skips a beat!

"Addition"al Information!

And the tree is leaving it's space that it grew on for the past 20 years.

Machinery moved in and the digging begins.

And the potted plants now have new friends in the form of string, meters and levelers.

And I leave you today with a huge hole. A hot day and a lot of work hovering on the horizon for us.

Life As I Know, Knew...ummmm Ugh.

Life at the moment is well, exhausting. Crazy is this life I have. But it keeps things exciting!

We have broke ground for our addition which will be the permanent living quarters for my Mom!

The tree has fallen and footers are going in. Yikes! I will be taking photos all along the way, so stay tuned!

I have spent 10 days in Austin Texas with family and we had a lot of fun but the heat and storms were huge!

I melt in that type of heat the same way that southerners freeze in the snow that we have here in the north....well, I freeze too so we are all the same I guess!

We head to the Outer Banks next week where all our family will descend on the beaches of Nags Head....the town has NO idea what they are in for!!!

But for today, I will leave you with a few ummm....eclectic photos from Austin Texas.

This is how they do it in Austin!

Lunch Yum!

Seriously Crazy!

This little boy was in his absolute height of glory.

Tomorrow, the beginning of the addition.

Back To Blogging

Update on life....

My Mother had her surgery and is doing well. She needs to gain a lot of strength back but is on her way.

I have been having some real issues with my Fibromyalgia and find it completely frustrating. I know that I need to re-adjust the way in which I do things and the amount of things I do in a day but my head is just not there yet and I want life as it was 10 years ago. Sigh.

I am getting on a plane Saturday to fly with my two daughters down to Austin Texas! I cannot tell you how exciting it is! I hope to snap tons of pictures and show you all the amazing things we do together!

Then when I return on the 16th (and my sweet hubby will be glad for the return to married life!) we will have only 2 1/2 weeks before leaving for the Outer Banks to share our vacations with ALL of our children!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first time in 5 years that we have all been together under the same roof. There will be some loudness going on in that beach house!!!

I am so grateful for house and dog sitters!!! Our crazy mutts would be over the top stressed if we would have to board them during all this!

Once we return from vacation we will be starting a building project which will be an addition to our home of a "Granny Suite".
Yes, my Mother will be living with us (in her own separate suite) permanently by Christmas. We are both happy and a bit sad over this. Happy to have Mom with us safe and sound but sad that the move has to be made. Life is ever changing.

As you can see my summer is full to the brim!
